Rainy Day!

I love the rain! So do the kids. As soon as it started pouring I think all the neighborhood kids were outside running around in it. Dan and I were outside on the porch watching it come down while I was in and out of the house making homemade cookies.

Ethan had just woke from a nap, so he sat and watched with us while we ate cookies.

Snake eats Rat

So maybe there's something wrong with me. One of my Laurels in Young Womens has a pet snake. I told her I wanted to come watch next time she feeds it and bring my kids. Everyone kept telling me not to do that. They thought it would scare my kids too much. The way I look at it is, Its Life! That's how things happen. Needless to say, my kids loved it. They thought it was pretty cool to watch a snake wrap up a Rat and swallow it whole.
-
Here are the kids touching the snake before it has dinner.

I wasn't sure what Ethan thought, but he loves to tell people about it.

I just thought that this little video would be fun to share!

Salem Pond

For FHE we went to Salem Pond had a little lesson and let the kids fish. We found a great spot that as soon as they would put their pole in the water they were ready to pull it out. So they had a blast.
-
I think Ethans favorite part were the worms. He loves playing with them. He dropped several through the cracks in the bridge, I'm sure the fished Loved them!

Here is Jacob catching his fish. All the fish we caught were bluegills and maybe a sunfish too. They are all small fish so we let most of them go, but we kept a couple (Jacob insisted) and I made them for lunch for him the next day. He loves fish. (They were actually pretty good, and I don't like fish)
I couldn't believe how excited Devyn was when she caught her first fish, I didn't think she would get so into it. But she loved it.

Even Ethan had fun giving it a try. It was funny, I could see the fish checking out his worm, but he wouldn't let it sit there for even a second, as soon as we put the pole in he was reeling it back out.
Here are the kids taking turns touching the eyeballs. Devyn even started CPR, the pumping the chest part, she did stay away from the mouth to mouth, it didn't work.

Potluck

On Sunday we went to Nate and Airakas house for our monthly family potluck. The kids had a lot of fun becaues they live on a farm. So they had fun playing with the goats and cows. But especially the goats. Devyn's animal fun started off bad when she tried climbing over a fence and some wasps or bees made a nest in the post, so they got her. Both Devyn and Penina got stung.
Nate and Airakas 'kids' have all grown up!

New Do!

So I have been having a lot of fun. My friend showed me this website where you can upload a photo of yourself and change your hair style. You can also change the color of your hair from red to gray. There are so many different styles it is a lot of fun.
-
You can go to http://www.thehairstyler.com/ it does cost money but if I do your hair give me a call or email and I will give you my password to try it out. I always thought I wanted a Fro, but I changed my mind after seeing it on me.
-
So I cut some bangs. I am kinda regretting it though. Should I grow them out, Or cut them differently? What do you think? What pictures do you like best? Of course my hair isn't this thick, so my hair wouldn't do this exactly but you get the idea.

10 Mile Ride

Yesterday we decided to go on a family bike ride to Payson. Devyn was so excited because I had just bought her a bigger bike I found at a yard sale. She did so good on our ride! It is slightly down hill to Payson so I knew she could make it there. It was the way home I was worried about. Once we got to Payson, we went to Walmart to get a few groceries then to visit my mom, have a little dinner, and rest before our big journey home. As it was starting to get dark we knew we had to hurry on our way! We were SO proud of Devyn. I think that extra encouragement of Wow Devyn you are so strong, and everyone will be so suprised you rode your bike ALL the way to Payson and back! I believe that is what kept her peddling all the way UP home. She said her muscles are too big! And thanks to grandma for planting a massage in her brain, she got a leg massage when she got home, although it didn't last long, she is too ticklish.

_

These picture were taken when we got to my moms house in Payson. I loved these pictures of the boys sitting in the lawn chairs. The bright blue chair brought out their bright blue eyes!

WARNING

(Blurry Pictures Ahead)

Here is our ride home! The sun was setting so the pictures

didn't turn out that great, plus we took them while riding.

It seems I always have to add in a sunset picture, I don't know why, it just facinates me I guess. I love how the sun rays are beaming through the clouds

Swimming Lessons!

Devyn just finished swimming lessons today. She was a good swimmer. This is the first year I have put her in and she did well.

Free Time!
