FAMILY PICTURES!

It has only been just over NINE years since we had gotton our family pictures taken! So my sister-in-law Airaka arranged for a family picture. We just jumped on it and got them done in the freezing cold, but I think they turned out alright. Thanks Airaka!

Spiderman Potty Party!

Ethan is a BIG BOY!
I am SO happy that Ethan finally decided he wanted to be big. For Christmas he got some superman underwear and threw them because he didn't want them. But when the boys were going to shoot guns one day he wanted to go but Dan wouldn't let him unless he went potty on the toilet. Well he went right to the toilet and went potty. That was a first ever! So that was the start. Then the next day he decided he would give superman a try. He also got a superman shirt that he had to wear everyday. After a couple days with superman we took him shopping and he bought spiderman underwear and a spiderman shirt. So he had to wear spiderman and superman everyday. The good news is he hasn't wanted a diaper on since. He even wears underwear to bed! Only 1 bedtime accident the whole time! And only one other daytime accident and that was when he was being babysat. Anyway, we are SO happy that our boy is a big boy!
~
Grandpa Strong told Ethan a few times that if he would be a big boy then he would have a party for Ethan. Well Ethan didn't forget about that. He kept asking me about his party so finally he called Grandpa. Grandpa kept is promise and made Ethan a Spiderman cake (yes, grandpa baked it and grandma decorated the top) We sang a big boy song to Ethan and ate some yummy cake. Thanks for the Potty Party Grandpa!

Draper Temple

On Friday Dan and I decided to get tickets to go to the Draper Temple Openhouse. I am so excited that we went, and the kids loved it also. If you want to go you can book your tickets online by clicking <<HERE>>. Anyone is invited to go! Anyway, it was amazing inside and something I think the kids will always remember.
One of their favorite parts was the bus ride up to the temple. To cut down on traffic they have everyone meet at different stake houses and then they bus you up to the temple.

New Apron

Just before Christmas my friend Carol taught me how to make these new fun Flirty Aprons. So I had made a couple for gifts and really wanted one for myself. I went to the fancy expensive fabric store for the other aprons, but just went to JoAnns to see if I could find some cheap fabric for me. And I have to say I was pretty pleased with my new apron! If you want to make yourself one, let me know and you can borrow my pattern!

Jacobs Good Aim

On New Years Day Dan went skeet shooting with his brothers. He also took the boys and let Jacob have a shot with the 22. Jacob had a blast and was pretty proud of his Bulls Eye!

New Years Party!

For New Years Eve we went to my parents house to ring in the New Year. We always have a lot of fun! Good Food and fun games!
Here are the kids playing Bingo!

We also had adult Bingo. If you got a bingo got to unwrap a prize.

Here is Mark with his pretty gloves, can't you tell how much he likes them?

Airaka won some nice fishnets, don't worry kids were downstairs.

I won the adhesive bra, but thought I would give it to Airaka, it went nice with her fishnets. She seemed pretty excited about it, so did Nate.
Here is Amelia with her symbols getting ready to ring in the New Year!

New Year - New Look

Because Dan got a new look for the New Year I though I should too. I have had my hair long for way too long. It was fried and gross so I decided it was time. I've been wanting to do this for a while but I would always chicken out but this time, my friend Emily cut it and I didn't have time to think about it. She got me right in.

Kip or Uncle Rico?

Kip * Napolean * Uncle Rico
Okay, so Dan started growing a beard April 2008
He shaved it once in September for some family pictures and then grew it right back out. He kept it groomed, but then for a while we were going to see how long he could grow it out. Well he changed his mind and for the New Year he decided it was time for a change.
Here he is before:
And in Between

He thinks he looks like Uncle Rico (right)
But I was thinking he looked a little more like Kip (left)
Don't worry though, the mustache is gone.
The beard was fine but the stache is not.

Christmas Day!

Christmas Day was fun, although I am upset at my pictures, I didn't get pictures of their stuff before they saw it. Then I totally missed Devyn. Here they are Christmas morning
All Ethan wanted was a race car.
Jacob asked for a Piggy Bank and food for his bunny.
He got a panarama animal picture for his room, which I love and his favorites were his fishing stuff and his Zoo Tycoon computer game, I have to admit the computer game is fun.
Devyn asked for a barbie, little petshops and a chocolate orange with orange sticks. She also got some heelis and a couple fun mirrors for her room.

Here she is showing me some of herstuff in her room.

Now for the traggic part. All Jacob wanted was a piggy bank and treats and toys for his bunny. But on Christmas Eve we found out how sick his bunny really was. We found out right when we got it that something was wierd and wrong but on Christmas Eve the kids were brushing its hair and found a huge lump on top of another huge lump and another lump of oozing infection underneath. You have to know that Brownie was a fuzzy lop and looked much bigger that she was because of how furry she was. But we knew that our bunny brownie was not going to make it much longer. It was really sick. So with all Jacob wanting for Christmas was bunny stuff we were stuck. Well all I have to say is that on Christmas morning Jacob woke up to a new baby bunny, and Santa took brownie with him to the North Pole. I don't know if Brownie is dead or alive but I think the perfect word either way would be "Brownie Heaven"

~

Here is our cute new bunny that Jacob named 'Blackshot'

(We're still wondering why he chose to name his bunny that)

The kids knew Brownie was going to die, so this was a good way of them not having to watch her. They are extremely happy to still have a bunny.

After our fun little family Christmas we made the rounds, first to Grandma and Grandpa Olsons.

Then to Grandma and Grandpa Strongs house.
Here all the grandkids got blankets with their names embroidered on them. Here is Devyn and Jacob with their blankets, Ethan was asleep, and I couldn't wake him up for the life of me.
