Tree Hunting

This was our second year to go out and find the perfect tree
~
Beginning our hunt

Jacob had a blast looking at animal snow tracks

 It was so pretty

The kids felt like they were in Narnia
The kids all took their turn with the saw
 And on our way out

Thanksgiving

I don't have many picture from Thanksgiving but we had a great time
Caleb enjoyed eating my mashed potatos & my yam ball
he kept asking for more and if I didn't get it to him he'd help himself
The kids always enjoy every second with their cousins
Jacob always amazes me at how much food he can shove down his gut
 My Mommy & Daddy
This is the only time I sit together at a table (or tables) with
my brothers and sisters and we only do it every other year
Ainsley  loves - loves - loves  my Caleb
We held our Thanksgiving feast in my moms church.
It's nice not to be so crowded.
We were able to play basketball - Jumprope & we even had 2 projectors set up with wii's on each one so we could play wii together.  It was a lot of fun.

By the way . . .  "white men can jump"

My Burning Home

My worst fear has always been my house burning down
Luckily I wasn't living in it at the time
But it's still weird to see somewhere you lived for six years burn to the ground.  A place that I became a mommy and had many good memories raising my little ones.  Well now they are only memories, not just something I can look at and remember - it's gone.
~
Devyn was SO sad when we got there to see this happen
I was glad she brought along her boos bear
The city bought the land to widen the road
They let the fire department do some fire trainings inside
Here is a 200 pound body that they rescued from inside the home
Here is Dan's little brother Stephen
He moved into the home when we moved out
He was the man over the fire trainings
Sawing a hole in the roof
A meeting on burning it down
Starting the fire in that front room (Devyn's room)

 There it goes

 Goodbye

 I'll miss that front porch
My souvenir - the two basement windows

 Only a couple days later
(I see the kitchen sink)
It was a VERY windy and COLD day

How it was

I hardly have any pictures of the house.
I mostly have pictures of closeups of faces.
Here is one evening spending time on the porch.
We loved to sit and watch traffic go by (fun I know)
Here is Dan playing the guitar
Here we have my family over for potluck
The kids playing in the background while the men look at the mtn
My momma jumping on the trampoline
 Devyn heading off to school
 Our pet rooster
I loved this yard.  Lots of shade trees!

Bowling

Bowling night with my brothers and sisters!
My sister planned a fun bowling night with the siblings (no kids)
We had a fun time having dinner and showing off our skilz
~
Hi Mom! ~ I love her!
There was a dare for nate to throw this ball down the lane
I think he was too chicken
Britney was such a good cheerleader
My Sissy and Mommy
Date Night - yay!
I found out my Old Man can actually bowl
He won everybody
Do they have a bowling league for seniors?
Mark can throw the ball the fastest
Almost 25 mph - pretty impressive
 Thanks Britney for planning it!
