Jacob T-ball

Yes, a ton of pictures! But you know I love taking pictures and I think these are all so cute. Maybe you don't think they are as cute as I do but that's because they aren't your kids, they're mine! I have had fun watching T-ball this year. Probably because Jacob is so competitive and aggressive, he doesn't know how to play as a team yet. He wants to get the ball no matter where it is on the field. It's pretty funny.
And he always really consentrates

There is always a tackle on the ball. (They might make great football players one day) These three boys are so funny because they all dog pile on each other everytime the ball is hit.

Here is Jacob with his speed run just about to pass the runner in front of him. Don't you love T-ball, the kids do it all the time and it doesn't even matter.

"Hey first base I'm throwing the ball!"

And in T-ball if you get the runner out, they still get to play and run the bases.

Salamander

Dan has an eye for bugs and animals. He notices everything. I swear he always finds something and brings it home. Well the other day he found something at home. While working in the basement he looked in the window well and saw this cute and slimy little salamander. We find one about every year in the window well. But once he pointed it out to me it still took me a minute to see it because it was squished in the corner.

Pajama Game

While Dan was out on a boyscout campout, my mom had my boys over for a grandson sleepover. It was GREAT! Devyn and I home alone, so we had a girls night. We went and saw my friend Tina and her husband in a play called "Pajama Game" We had so much fun. Tina directed the plays Devyn has been in Aladdin and Willy Wonka. So it was fun for Devyn to watch them act on stage. It was a good play and this is the last weekend for anyone wanting to go. It's in Springville. Very cute show and great for a date night. There were a few naughty parts that embarrased Devyn though. (Notice Tina has NO pants on) Ya Devyn covered her eyes several times. You know how usually there is adult admission and child admission and the children are cheaper? Well not this play, maybe because it's targeted for adults. Haha . . . it was very cute and very funny and I recommend it, even if it means taking your 7 year old to it.

It's a Lionhead!

So I guess we are in the bunny business now. Not too long ago we got a nicer bigger cage for Jacobs rabbit. And then Devyn really wanted one too. We thought why not, we have room for another one. But I have made her earn it. She has been working hard doing extra jobs for points. I told her when she got a hundred points she could get one. Well the day came on Friday so we started looking. She really wanted a Lionhead rabbit. We found this cute little girl, and Devyn named her Allison.

Here is Devyn with her new little baby. And I'm telling ya, she babies it. Allison is a very cute little bunny. She is sweet and will run to you to play. I hope she stays that way.
Jacob loves her too.

I'm Growin Shrooms!

You know, I may be one of the very few people who have actually enjoyed the rain. I love it! Maybe I should move to Washington? I love that it waters my grass, flowers, garden. And we relax inside and then when the rain stops it's really not that cold outside. A little chilly but it's just nice. I'm quite sure with all the rain that we have had that most of us are seeing these in our grass, right? But I'm finding different looking mushrooms in my flowers like these.

But what in the heck are these? Does anyone know? Are they mushrooms or is it just some kind of fungus? They are really wierd. But hey it gives me the "nature" look I'm going for with my flowers.
One thing I'm really enjoying right now are all my strawberries, I love them! And this year they have really taken off. Just picked these ones today!

And Yeah! Our bamboo is finally taking off! It has struggled since we planted it. I'm hoping that it gets strong to do well through the winter. We have been looking for this bamboo for years and found it a couple years ago, (was too expensive) and hasn't done as well as I hoped it would. It is an evergreen bamboo that just gets bigger every year like your trees.

Swim Lessons

It seems we haven't wasted anytime this summer. Instead of enjoying our time doing nothing we have kept busy. Devyn and Jacob just finished swimming lessons. They had a lot of fun and improved quite a bit. I'm so proud of them.

Ethan did really well just watching Devyn and Jacob swim everyday. I wondered if he thought he should have a turn but he was really good. He just sat on my lap everyday and gave me lots of loves.

Vetrans Memorial

After eating at Salem Pond we went to the cemetary for a Vetrans Memorial.

Memorial Day Breakfast at Salem Pond

Here we are enjoying time with cousins we don't get to see too often. We cook and eat a yummy breakfast at Salem Pond every Memorial Day. The kids feed ducks and play.
