Bird Watching

Although it would be nice to be outside playing, we have had fun watching the birds this winter.  We put a feeder out and it is so fun to see all the birds it attracts, especially when it's snowing, we get many more.  I guess there are not many places to find food.

Girls Weekend!

This last weekend I was able to get away and play with the girls!  I have to say I had a great time!  At the last minute my sister Britney came up with an idea to hit the Home Shows in St George.  And most of us were able to go.
After running around from home to home we decided to run down south a little and play a little Bingo!  I had never played bingo before but I have to tell you . . . it was fun!
~
This is Michelle, Britney, and Jamie figuring out how to play all the different Bingos we were going to do.  We each had 9 cards at a time and played about 12 rounds I think.  It was an hours worth of playing.  And so much fun with our bingo stampers!
I never got a picture of KayeLynne and I with our Bingo since I got yelled at for taking the above picture.  I guess you can't take photos in Bingo!  Dumb!  So we had to take our bingo picture at the hotel.
These three girlies squished in a bed.
I got a bed with only one other person since I was fat.  How nice huh?
Just thought I would share one house with ya.  A house with mostly back windows, including the master shower.  I've seen the jetted tubs many times surrounded by outside windows, but the shower?  I can't imagine standing there naked with the outside wall being glass.  Maybe the people that were going to be living there were nudists?

Well it was fun!  I'm glad I got to get away with the girlies before I have a little newborn when I'll be stranded at home a bit more.

Jacob's new glasses!

About 8 months ago I found out Jacob wasn't seeing well when he went in for his Kindergarten exam.  We went to the eye doctor after and found he was far sighted and had an astigmatism in one eye.  He wasn't bad so we let it go a while.
Then the division of blind services came and checked the kids eyes at school and mailed me a letter saying he couldn't see as well and to get him checked.  So we went back to the doctor again.  We have observed Jacob and kept our eye on him to decide if we should get him glasses.  I know it sounds wierd, why not get him glasses if he can't see great right? But he is so young, only in kindergarten and he had great strength in his eyes, no lazy eyes, good muscles and his sight wasn't that bad.  But if he were playing a game on the computer or reading a book he couldn't see well, and it was obvious because it was right in his face.  Well now . . . .he just wears the glasses and can see great!  I just didn't want to put him in them so young, but he doesn't have to wear them all the time.  He wears them for certain things at school and sometimes at home.  I guess I'm glad he doesn't have to have them on 24/7 but he thinks they are awesome!

Grandpas Birthday!

Daniels' dad turned 55 last sunday.  The were driving home from Idaho on his birthday and we thought we would stop by Sunday night and wish him a Happy Birthday.  So we made some brownies and stopped in.
The kids helped him blow out the candles
(Don't mind Jacob's and Ethans hair.  Devyn wanted to do their hair before we left.  She thought they looked mighty handsome!)
And all that smoke didn't even set off the fire alarm!
But it sure made a mess of wax all over the brownies.
We suprised him with a couple CD's full of his mission pictures.  I scanned all his mission slides and made them digital copies.  I was suprised at how much he remembered about each picture.
Happy Birthday Dad/Grandpa!

Ice Fishing

Just over a week ago Dan went Ice Fishing with my Mom, Dad and Brother Nate.  He took Jacob along with him and they drove down to Fish Lake for the day.  They didn't catch the big ones like people had been catching but I think they still had fun.

They did it again!

And our kids couldn't be happier.  We have 6 new little baby bunnies who are almost 3 weeks old now.  They are so cute and so much fun.  They have been played with everyday this week.  They will be ready for new homes about 3 weeks before Easter.  Let me know if you are interested in the cute little things.
 Take your pick now!

Inspirations

This year both Devyn and Jacob decided to enter in the Inspirations contest
(same as Reflections contest)
Well they both placed on their art work!  I'm so proud of them!
They had to stick with the Theme "Power of One"
And explain why how their artwork related to the theme
~
Devyn entered in photography & 2D art.
The sad thing is I don't have pictures of what she handed in, I guess I just wasn't thinking about it.  We will get her art work back but since it placed it is sent to regional!
Luckily I have a picture of the photography that she entered in since it is digital.
It is a pictures of Devyn's Barbie Family
Jacob did 3D Art and made a sculpture of a monkey.  He placed 2nd!
Here he is SO proud of his metal, it's a nice metal by the way!
Here is Jacob with the sculpture he made
Everyone who entered was able to go to an ice cream party during school.  They first played a bunch of games/races.
Then they got to make their own ice cream sundaes.
Ethan got to join the kiddos since I helped out with the party
Yummy!
