Ball . . . Ball . . . .and more Ball

Just before Ball season Jacob broke his arm.  With a full arm cast it made it a little difficult for Jacob but it sure didn't stop him.  He still played and did a dang good job.  He would bat one handed . . . .  good job for a right handed kid using his left.

Caleb was such a good boy supporting everyone by watching their games
Devyn played catch most of the season - and she did a good job

Ethan played his first year of T-ball

I loved watching the whole group of kids diving for the same ball

Catching Grandpa

The other day we went on a quick drive up the canyon
On the way home we saw . . . . .  Grandpa Myron!
He was buzzing around town on his 4 wheeler
and we had a hard time catching up to him!
 But we did!
I couldn't believe how fast this 91 year old man was
Isn't he the the cutest old man?
It is so fun to run into him around town

Caleb Turns ONE!

My sweet baby boy turned ONE
This last year has gone by so fast!
We had family over to celebrate.  We enjoyed a big dinner and then we were entertained by Caleb.  I was so happy that the evening turned out nice.  We had so much rain I was worried we would all be crammed inside the house.

A tradition in Korea for babies first birthdays is to put out several items and put the baby back and see what items they go for and it is supposed to tell you something about their future.  When Ethan turned one he picked up a wrench and he has been our little fixer boy.
I was sure he was going to pick up that gun, he looked at it for a few seconds
But then he went straight for the lion
 Second Harmonica
 Third he chose the ball

Opening Presents

So grateful to have family come and help celebrate

 Ainsley loves my chickens

Caleb got got the whole cake - everyone else got cupcakes

 First Bite
Look Ma . . . . no hands!

He started using his dinosaur as a spoon
Caleb enjoying the new sand for the sandbox from Grandma Olson
Thanks to my family for helping celebrate!

Hershey Track

Just before school got out I was able to go and watch Devyn run her races against the other schools.  I remember running the Hershey Track races when I was in school.  I was always excited for the day off of school, but not for the races.  I would run the shortest race and then do the softball throw and standing long jump.

Devyn is the girl smack in the middle with black bottoms

 Way to go Devyn!

Broken Arms

Can you believe it?
Jacob broke his RIGHT arm!
On Ethans "real" birthday we ate dinner at the park in Genola so Ethan could do some "rock climbing"  It was easier than driving to Lehi trafalga like he wanted to.  While the kids were playing Dan and I were sitting there talking.  He was supposed to have been gone for a work trip but it got postponed, so it was nice to have him there.  All of a sudden we heard a kid screaming behind us that sounded like Jacob but my kids were in front of me.  Well I thought they all were - Jacob had wondered back behind us in the rodeo grounds and decided to climb the top of this fence that was about eight feet high and walk along the top of it with his flip flops on and fell off!  He kept complaining about his arm but since his little friend Zack had just broke his arm like the week or so before him I thought he was totally faking it.  Until he woke up during the night because it was hurting and the next day he was still protecting it.  I didn't think he could last that long.  Well I took him in and it was broke close to the elbow so they had to put a long cast on him

Poor kiddos!
