Ethans Balloon

Aren't grandmas the best? Well my mom thought it would be nice to give the kids balloons with their Valentine, so they can all fight over them and take turns blowing up the sames ones, sharing their germs. Once they have spit all over them and realize they can't blow them up they want you to do it. But not to tie it, so they can let it go and watch it fly around then they pick it up and spit all over it again so you can . . . well ya, Ethan tried blowing this balloon up constantly for a few days, until it somehow disappeared. It is pretty funny, he never gave up!

Vitamin Juice

I swear it works, Airborne & EmergenC a.k.a. Vitamin Juice. Dan came home with a cold & cough and I haven't got it, maybe a slight hint and then it was gone. I was really good giving it to the kids then once Devyn got sick for a week I was wore out, forgot and the kids didn't remind me. The boys got a little sick but not as sick as Devyn. I have since found ways make it taste a little better but before then this is what worked, plugging the noses.

By the way, add a little strawberry syrup and it sweetens it up, just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down!

Welcome to Shanghai!

So Dan just got back from a work trip to China. He was supposed to be gone for three weeks but we were lucky to have him home a couple days earlier. I love to see the pictures from his trip, and thought it would be fun to share some of my favorites with you. It was pretty much overcast the whole time he was there. It is winter & everything is dead. I'm sure it would be much prettier if it all was in bloom. But he was able to experience a little bit of China. He is adventurous & ate out a lot with the Chinese workers, while the other ate Pizza Hut and other familar looking foods. I'm just glad he never got sick. Here was an option for dinner, take your pick!
But he settled for this - I would have starved.
Although he did enjoy some tasty eel at another restraunt.

This is an old water village that they went to

Here he is with his Dad, he is lucky to work with him and at times travel together, I would love to work and travel with my mom!
A little pet store, along the top you can pick a turtle, any size!
Meat hung outside in many places.

They were able to experience a little bit of Chinese New Year while there. They were able to go to the lantern fesitval, which completes the Chinese New Year.

A guy chinese guy that they worked with
A lot of people ask me what Dan does. Well here is a picture of why they went to Shanghai. They designed this Crane Simulator to train the operators how to use the equipment. So they designed it and built it for this place in China, shipped it and then went over to put it together
Now if Dan goes back to China, I'm hoping it is close to this place, because if it is I want to go.
I want to go on a cruise down the Li River! Isn't it beautiful!

Kids - gotta love em!

This morning while eating breakfast the kids were watching the slideshow screensaver on the computer. And a picture pops up of me.

Ethan: Look its mom!

Jacob: Mom was that you?

Me: Ya that was me.

Jacob: We'll who was in your belly?

Me: Nobody was in my belly silly.

Jacob: Uh huh, look at it again, see!

Me: Does my belly look big in that picture?

Jacob: Yes it does.

Me: Well noone was in my belly. (sniff sniff)

It wasn't a good picture of me at all, but I didn't think it looked like someone was in my belly!

Olson Kiddies

Just thought I would share a few snapshots
from the past couple weeks of my little ones.
Ethan was having fun outside riding his bike.
He was taking PJ for a ride (see PJ on his bike?)
He likes to do a little wheelin on over the snow.
Ethan likes to shovel the snow, just like his dad.
I thought this was funny, I looked over at Jacob and he was doing a whole bunch of pull ups under the coffee table. He kept pulling himself and once he got tired from that . . . .He went to doing push ups - Just like a strong boy!
Just getting his exercise in for the day!

And here is Devyn, I don't know why she got all decked out in her snowpants to take blackshot for a walk. Most of our snow is melted and I'm starting to see my yard again, Yay, I'm getting a little excited about that. And our newest family member Blackshot all decked out in his sweater so he will be warm as he goes for his little walk outside.
