Christmas Day

Christmas Morning
Every Christmas it seems the kids sleep in quite a while.  This Christmas Devyn woke up at 6am and she ran to wake up Jacob.  We have an intercom system on the phone so they called our bedroom to see if they could come up.  (so glad they didn't peak)  They went and woke up Ethan and then Caleb woke up with all the commotion.  I made them sit in Ethans room and wait while I fed the baby so it would be a happy morning . . . . and it was.
Here they all are in the hallway waiting to walk in the living room
The kids all got new coats and sleeping bags
Devyn always asks Santa for a suprise along with many other things.
This year she got a chandelier for her room
A couple other things she wanted so bad were
Hobo Gloves - Smelly Pencils - Hop it Skip it
Jacob was most excited about his Bow & Arrow
He also got some binoculars with a bird watching book
Here he is holding his Hex Bug
(biggest piece of junk - $10 toy didn't last 10 hours)
 This kid loves animals
I'm still not sure if he most likes to take care of them or kill them
I guess we will see as he grows older
Ethan is my little fixing boy
As soon as he got this cool screwdriver set for Christmas he wanted to go out and fix the heater in the car. (It's been broken)  Dan just doesn't have enough time to get things crossed off my list (I understand my lists are huge) but I can't wait to have another little man to help him out!
He spent most of the morning in the backyard shooting his bow and arrow too.  I think he might have liked his even better than Jacob suprisingly
Caleb got a lot of practice unwrapping presents before Christmas.
It was fun to watch him open them all by himself

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve night all started when Grandpa gave his girl an engagement ring.  She flaunted it ALL night long, I would have too if I were her, it is a very pretty ring.
We enjoyed a very yummy Prime Rib dinner at the Olson house
I would say I had my fair share . . . or more
It was a delicious meal - Caleb loved the asparagus

Devyn always goes all out for Santa
She wrote him a letter - drew him a picture and
even made him some pixo figures

Devyn and Dan did a little song for us on Christmas Eve

Snowy Day

School gets out for the Holiday and then it SNOWS!
The best part is knowing that we will have snow for Christmas!

Every year I help the kids build a big slide so they can have fun sledding all winter long without even going anywhere.

Can you think of anything else that you can play with AND eat?
besides Willy Wonkas Chocolate Factory?

Ethan went in a little early
He was ready for Hot Chocolate a little sooner than the rest of us
 He's nuts

My Sleepy Kids

Just going through some pictures and found some I took of my sleeping babes
~
Ethan is so funny, lately he likes to sleep on the floor in the corner of his room at the end of the bed.  There is also a toy chest he pulls away from the wall and makes his little sleeping spot.  It's also right next to the heater so maybe that has something to do with it.
 Here is my baby Caleb
He has learned to get around the crib I enjoy his nap time and I miss him too

The Nutcracker

When I was young my grandma took us to the nutcracker for many years.  I loved it and I hadn't been since.   I have been wanting to take Devyn to see it for years and this year I FINALLY went.  It was so fun and was as good as I remembered it being.  Devyn was so excited to sit front row in the balcony.  It was fun to be able to see the live orchestra playing below as well.
We got there way early - I got the time wrong on when it started
Devyn is admiring the orchestra below
So fun to have a date night with my little girl - she's growing up too fast

Tree Hunting

This was our second year to go out and find the perfect tree

Beginning our hunt

Jacob had a blast looking at animal snow tracks

 It was so pretty

The kids felt like they were in Narnia
The kids all took their turn with the saw
 And on our way out

Thanksgiving

I don't have many picture from Thanksgiving but we had a great time
Caleb enjoyed eating my mashed potatos & my yam ball
he kept asking for more and if I didn't get it to him he'd help himself
The kids always enjoy every second with their cousins
Jacob always amazes me at how much food he can shove down his gut
 My Mommy & Daddy
This is the only time I sit together at a table (or tables) with
my brothers and sisters and we only do it every other year
Ainsley  loves - loves - loves  my Caleb
We held our Thanksgiving feast in my moms church.
It's nice not to be so crowded.
We were able to play basketball - Jumprope & we even had 2 projectors set up with wii's on each one so we could play wii together.  It was a lot of fun.

By the way . . .  "white men can jump"
