Steinaker Reservoir

For our Strong Family get together this year my brother planned on taking us out to the Vernal area to a place called Steinaker Reservoir.  He was excited to take us all out on the water and pull us behind his boat.  The first thing he wanted to do was take all the little kids out whip them around make them fall off and cry so that they won't want on them anymore and the adults can have fun, nice huh?
~
So here they are the first ones on the water
Mark (acting as the lifesaver) ~ Kallysta ~ Penina ~ Amelia ~ Devyn
Nate's pretty excited
And they're off!
They didn't last long though
I loved how mark helped all the girls get back on but there was noone to help him haha!
Cute Devyn
Little ones stayed back on the beach enjoying the sand
Or sitting on the Tubes on the sand
Until this Old Man took the little ones out on his boat
(He thinks Old Guys Rule . . . he's trying to look cool)
I tagged along with the little ones and the old ones on the boat ride
I kinda like just observing, I think I might like it better than being in the water.
Here is Airaka and Tyree getting back from their ride on the Molecule
I rode that thing too just Dan and I it was fun being with my man but Nate went a little too fast for me, I think he likes seeing people in pain, or in fear.
Nate . . . he's got skills
Jason, trying out the Dubya
Here is Dan on the Dubya, I think he lasted the longest.
But he did get thrown off

Strong Family Campout

We enjoyed all our time around camp together.
What we liked at camp:
Cousins ~ Dirt ~ Fishing ~ Hikes ~ Lizards ~ Food ~ Games
What we didn't like:
Mosquitos (and their were many)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Look at these cute girlies
Kallysta ~ Amelia ~ Devyn
Jacob with his new lizard friend & Sydney
Jacob carried this lizard around camp the whole time there.  He had a meltdown when we made him let the lizard go before we went home.
Ethan spent pretty much all his time sliding down this dirt hill on his bum
Ethan & Grady
And look at my chunky little man ~ I think he's cute
We enjoy eating when we are together and we had lots of yummy food
Nate is taking care of our tin foil dinners.
Mom even brought an oven ~ She made some yummy brownies
Mom had to finish cooking in the oven since Dad about burnt his finger off
The kids enjoyed cooking in the fire
Jacob LOVED fishing from camp
He caught MANY blue gills he had so much fun catching and releasing
Later on that day he found a few fish floating in the water and he knew we better not waste them.  So what did he do?  He went in the water and pulled them out, plopped them right above the fire to cook guts and all.
He was ready to eat them ~ but Dan told him it wasn't a good idea, who know how long they had been floating on the water and if they hadn't washed up there from someone else.
Goodbye to the wonderful campsite. Shade ~ Grass ~ Water even our own bathrooms, we didn't have to share those toilet holes with anyone!
Thanks Nate & Airaka for all your planning we had a great time!
Buzzzzzzzzzzz
While celebrating Fathers Day with my family, my dad got talking to Ethan about getting a buzz.  It's been something my dad has been teasing Ethan about for a while now.  Ethan has really been wanting one but I didn't want to do it, why would I?  He looks so cute with his faux hawk!  I love his hair!  I told Ethan there was no way I was going to cut his hair someone else would have to do it.  I didn't realize that meant my dad would go get the clippers and take care of it.  But a little while later he had Ethan out on the front lawn cutting it all off!  I almost shed some tears, but Ethan couldn't have been happier.  And he started something . . . two of his cousins ended up getting a buzz with him.
Sleepy Boy
So before I went to bed I went to check on the kids.  When I first walked in Jacobs room I kinda panicked for a second because he wasn't in his bed.  Then on the side of his bed I saw him sleeping inside this box.  I remember doing this when I was little, and when I woke up in the morning my legs hurt since I couldn't stretch them out all night long.  This box might have actually been long enough.
Le Havre, France
So Dan recently took another trip to Le Havre, France for work.  I just tell him he has to take a lot of pictures for me so I can see what he saw.  Just wanted to share with you a few of my favorites.
Here is a bridge - somewhere in France
I couldn't believe how steep it was
Etretat
Etretat looks so beautiful to me!  I love it
He said this is a big touristy town . . .I can see why
After looking at the photos I want to go here too
Notice the cute yellow sailboat
A Church over looking the town
Town - I love the architecture
I want to live here
Normandy
Dan was able to go back and visit Normandy again.  I love on Memorial Day when the cemetaries put hundreds of flags in the ground all together to honor the those who have fought for our country.  I love to see them together, I can't imagine this cemetary full of crosses.  One day I would love to go there to see it with my own eyes.
