Well, we didn't plan it but on the way home from dropping Matthew off at the airport we thought it would be fun to take the kids to the Zoo! It was a great day outside. Not too hot. Also there was hardly anyone there! And the animals were moving around a little bit more. It ended up being a great day!

This is by the entrance. Ethan saw money in the pond and was crying cause he wanted to get it!
The Zoo train!
There was the cutest little monkey that came right to the glass to see us after we got there. It was SO cute! So we played with him for a minute. You can barely see him in the picture.
The white alligator (not albino)One of eight in the whole world
It actually died the next day.

Ethan hadn't been to the Zoo since he was about six months old. So it was fun to see him react to the animals. It was funny, he liked to see them as long as we were holding him. But when we got to the bears, he screamed! On the way to SLC we watched 'Over the Hedge' Well there is a mean bear in the movie. I think it scared him to see a real bear afterwards!
But here he is smiling by the giraffes
We got to watch them feed the giraffes. It was fun to see them up close.
Looking at a wild cat in hiding.
This was funny. It was okay because there was glass between us right?
He just kept walking back and forth hissing and staring at us.
We got to see them feed the gorillas too! This was a lot more fun. They play games with the food. They threw a bunch of food at them and then put some in bags that they had to open up and get into. And other containers as well.
Dessert!
But he did love to crawl in the turtle shell!
And on the crocodile.

How fun! I'm glad you were able to enjoy that and dad got to come too. Looks like they had a good time. It's so fun to watch a kid and their FIRSTS too. I'll bet you had some good laughs!
Looks like a great day. I'm glad you got to see a lot of animals.
Looks fun - I wanted to go to the zoo last weekend. Maybe we will go this weekend.
Cute pictures, it looks like you had lots of fun! We are going to go sometime in the next couple of weeks.
I am glad you had fun at the Zoo! It seems like the Animals were a lot more active then when we were there last week. It also looks like you almost had the park to yourself.
