So Dan has been working with the forest service on getting Dry Mountain replanted after it burned in 2001 - that was TEN years ago.
He has suggested and helped some scouts earn their eagle on planting some trees in the burned areas. He was thrilled when these boys wanted to do this and he took Devyn and Jacob up and went along.

I believe they planted about 250 trees?
Dan put some in his back to carry in

Here is Devyn getting ready to plant her first tree
We need to plant several thousand more trees on that mountain. If you are interested or know anyone who is give us a call!

what a neat experience for the kids. They can watch these trees grow for the rest of their lives.
